Applicants for admission to any of Sira Career Training Programs must have either High school diploma or a G.E.D (General Equivalency Diploma). Applicants who have completed their secondary school education outside of the U.S. must have High School Diploma or Equivalency certificate from the U.S. Department of Education.
Applicant must be 18 years or older
Applicants to Sira Career Training Program must take and pass a physical examination administered by a physician and must present documented negative results from the HIV (AIDS) test, HBSAG (hepatitis), TBT Results, RPR (syphilis), and be screened drug free prior to admissions. Students that fail any of these examinations will be reviewed further by the program director or designee to decide the admissibility.
Prospective students will not be denied admission on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, handicap, age, or veteran status (except where age, sex, or handicap constitutes a bona fide occupational qualification necessary to proper and efficient administration).
Applicants should be advised that good mental and physical health is necessary for successful completion of any of the Sira Career Training programs. In addition, a good educational background in English, Science and Math is recommended.
Applicant who has a felony on his/her record or listed on employee misconduct registry will not be admitted to the school.
All applicants for admission must have a personal interview with the Program Director or designee before the scheduled class start date. All other requirements must be completed and on file by the scheduled start date.
